COMMUNITY FUTURES WEST YELLOWHEAD (CFWY)
Purpose Statement:
Strengthening and diversifying our regional economy by supporting entrepreneurs through financing and programming.
CFWY has three main streams for potential entrepreneurs:
The Community Futures West Yellowhead office is a community driven, non-profit organization staffed by business professionals and guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. We provide a wide range of small business services and business management tools for people wanting to start, expand, franchise or buy a business. We also run several specialized business programs, organize exciting business events and actively work with community and business leaders to foster rural economic growth.
Community Futures West Yellowhead works in the communities of Jasper, Hinton, Edson, Grande Cache, and Yellowhead County. We are a unique non-profit organization in that we are funded by the federal government but governed by the municipalities in which we work. We receive no funding from the municipalities and consider municipal appointments a vital contribution to our organization. We are governed by 10 Board of Directors with two representatives from each municipality.
Our office is located at 221 Pembina Avenue, Hinton, Alberta. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, closed from noon to 1:00 pm for lunch.
