It has been a year of change and discovery, and the pandemic has caused disruption for many small businesses.  Business owners have been forced to re-evaluate their business models and get creative to ensure their products and services make their way into the hands of consumers.

From startup to expansion, all businesses within the West Yellowhead region are eligible.

What to expect

 Health and Safety

Deanne Fabrick is an expert in all things Occupational Health and Safety.  She works with new and/or existing companies to identify and assess their health and safety management systems, provides an overview of what the business is doing, and gives advice and support to improve. 

Health and safety is vital in achieving excellence in your business.  Deanne will champion compliance with health and safety standards and legal regulations.     

 Marketing

Jax Delisle is a marketing expert, with a special focus on digital media.  She works with small businesses to guide them through their marketing strategies, and provides insight on the latest marketing procedures and trends.

About the Business Coaches

Jax Delisle - Marketing

Jax is a strategic marketing and communications specialist with expertise in writing, photography, and graphic design. For more than 10 years, she has worked with national brands as well as small, locally owned businesses to infuse creativity and fresh ideas into her clients' marketing strategies. 

Jax owns JD Consulting, a local marketing firm, comprising a team of innovative and creative professionals. Together, her team has created and led successful campaigns for many organizations and initiatives within Yellowhead County.

Deanne Fabrick - Health and Safety 

Deanne is a health and safety business advisor. She owns and operates Sicurica Inc. which provides health and safety services to businesses in Alberta.  Most of Deanne’s working career has been in oil and gas but has grown to include any and all industry types.

Deanne has achieved her National Construction Safety Officer certification and is currently working towards her degree in Occupational Health and Safety. Deanne has been contracting with Community Futures West Yellowhead for four years. Her passion for health and safety has created a new outlook on safety for many business clients. Who knew health and safety could be so much fun?
